Colourful Blooms

The Hudson Yacht Club asked us to modify the look of our cake pops so they would blend with the theme of their opening dinner dance.  The room was decorated with richly coloured flowers and tulle.  (It was very beautiful - I should have sneaked my camera along and snapped some pics...)   Here are a few examples of what we put together to incorporate the theme.
Here is maple dressed up with a turquoise flower.

Vanilla cake pops were sprinkled with sugar and topped with a coordinating pink flower.

Red velvet was disguised in purple.

Double chocolate was topped in sunny yellow.

Black, Red and Silver All Over

We were asked by a client to put together some favour packages for a 40th birthday bash.  The theme was black, red and silver and the guest of honour is - like most women I know - a shoe fan.  The image in the bottom right shows how we accommodated the colours (and the shoes!) into the customized tags.  We modified our standard vanilla and chocolate cake pop looks to mesh with the colours seamlessly and to make the whole presentation even more personalized.

We photographed the cake pops on a cake inspired display that we put together.  We have been looking for different ways to display the pops - especially for special occasions - and this type of customizable display fits the bill.  Stay tuned for the next few posts to see more of these in varying shapes and colours.

Baby Showers Bring May Flowers

While we have been busy preparing cake pops for various first communions over the past couple of weeks, we also had the chance to create some cake pops for a baby shower.  Baby showers are fun to work with as the theme tends to be fresh, cute and slightly traditional.  With that in mind, have a look at our standard baby boy and baby girl cake pops.

Perfect for a little princess.

Definitely for a little boy.
