You Are My Sunshine
Ahhh...lemon. Refreshing are energizing are only a couple of words you can use to describe our new lemon cake pops. (Tangy, sublime and delicious are a few more.) Dipped in white chocolate with a dusting of yellow shimmer and finished with a cheery daisy, they look just as good as they taste. They are a nice change from chocolate - for those who need a change. Lemon lovers will be not be disappointed.

The "Olivia Sweet Sixteen"
OK. So this week is my niece's Sweet Sixteen! Oh my gosh, time flies. She is the most beautiful, amazing and smart young lady I know. I may bit biased but she holds a very special place in my heart. To mark this special occasion, I decided to create and dedicate a cake pop in her honour. She loves hot pink, zebra print and Oreo cookies. (How can you but not love this girl?!) The result is made with chocolate cake and crunchy Oreo buttercream, dipped in white chocolate (hot pink tinted) and finished Oreo sprinkles to give it some extra crunch. Anybody that wants to order this will have to call it by name the "Olivia Sweet Sixteen".
Olivia - I LOVE YOU and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Feel Good Easter
Here are some of the Easter colours that we are working with - we will publish lots more pictures of our Easter holiday cake pops later this week. It feels good to have spring coming, the colours make me so happy! For Easter, you can place orders starting now.
16th Birthday
One of our very good clients asked us to package some little gifts to give away for her grandson's sixteenth birthday party. I have to admit that it is not so easy to package something for a teenage boy. Striking the right balance of boyishness with adult masculinity is not a simple task. However, the simple and streamlined beige and green design filled the bill and our client love it! (Phewwww!) This little box held three cake pops: one maple, one mint and one Reese's pieces. Admittedly, the teenage guests at the party were much more interested in what was inside the box...

Giving Back: REVIVRE
We were approached recently to make cake pops to raise funds for REVIVRE. REVIVRE is an non-profit organization that provides support to people with anxiety, depression and bipolar disorders. (Please see http://www.revivre.org/home.php for more information on this association.) We were happy to be given the opportunity to help an organization that provides so much hope and support to people in our region. REVIVE relies one hundred percent on volunteers to carry out their mission; it was rewarding to be a couple of those volunteers for a little while. Best of luck to REVIVRE in their continuing fund-raising efforts!
I'm a little bit peanut butter, I'm a little bit chocolate... *
As you may have guessed, we are in the middle of developing some new flavours in the hopes of satisfying the many different cravings that every sweet tooth may demand. Out of this experimentation comes the Reese's Pieces inspired cake pop. Think about it: chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, dipped in chocolate and coated with lots of crushed Reese's Pieces. Is your sweet tooth curious?
* Does anyone else remember the Donnie and Marie classic: 'I'm a little bit country, I'm a little but rock n roll?'

Julia's Baptism
Here is another picture of the cake pops we created for the client who was hosting a baptism celebration. She wanted a personalized touch to the cake pops so we added a label with the first letter of her baby girl's name. Best wishes to baby Julia and her family!

Some Pretty Spring Colours
We are delivering seventy cake pops for a baptism celebration this weekend. On request of the client, we integrated pink pretty heavily into the colour scheme. I think the overall effect will be beautiful as the cake pops will be displayed with corresponding cookies, small cakes and candies.
I have to admit that decorating these little cuties has certainly given us a bit of spring fevor though! With warm weather arriving earlier than usual for the Montreal area, we in the mood to finalize our Easter cake pops. The colours, flavours and packaging will be fresh while drawing on traditional Easter themes. I think the Easter bunny himself will even be a little jealous!
It's Not Always Black and White!
Double-dipping is OK when chocolate cake pops are dipped in dark chocolate followed by a layer of white chocolate. Even George Costanza would have to agree.
